  1. Information the Website Asks You to Provide. If you create an account with the Website, either as an individual user or Cause, you will be asked to select a username and password. You will be asked to provide certain personal information, such as first name, last name, and email address, in creating your user profile. Once created, the user profile will be viewable by the general public. You may, however, disable this option through your profile settings. You may also post information, such as comments, texts, images, videos, and other content (aka “Materials”) to the Website. Any Materials you post to the Website may be viewable by the general public and are governed by the Website’s Terms of Use.

  2. Simplur’s Use of Information You Provide. Simplur will use the information you provide only to complete your donation, to provide you with tools to manage and monitor your transactions, and to match you with other users and Causes. With your permission, Simplur will use information from your Facebook and other social network account(s) to populate your Simplur account and help you locate other Simplur users that you may know. 

  3. Security. Simplur treats security seriously and takes reasonable measure to protect each of the Website’s user’s information. All transaction and credit card information entering the Website system is encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer (“SSL”) software. Simplur is not, however, responsible for any information you share with other users of the Website or third parties.

  4. Privacy Protection for Children. In furtherance of the terms of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, Simplur will not knowingly permit persons under the age of 13 to provide information to Simplur through the Website or otherwise. If Simplur later learn that any user is under the age of 13, Simplur will take appropriate steps to remove that user’s information from the database and restrict that user’s access to the Website.

  5. Links to Other Websites. The Website may contain links to third-party websites. Simplur is not responsible for the privacy practice, policies, or content of such websites. 

  6. Legal Requirements. Although such a situation may be unlikely, Simplur may be required to disclose user information to appropriate authorities in accordance with law, whether by subpoena or other legitimate request.

  7. Notification of Changes. If Simplur decide to use your information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection, Simplur will notify you by email. You may choose whether or not Simplur may use such information in this manner. In addition, if Simplur makes any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect your information already stored in the Website’s database, Simplur will post a prominent notice on the Website notifying you of the change. In some cases when Simplur posts such notice, Simplur may also email you to notify you of the changes to this Policy. Simplur will update and amend this Policy if and when it is necessary.
